Welcome to Our New 2017-18 K-5 PA President

CPCS welcomes newly elected PA Board President for the 2017-2018 school year, Mrs. Mahalia Wright!

Mrs. Wright is the parent of Sophia Wright, entering second grade this coming school year. Mrs. Wright is an active member of the CPCS PA who has served on our Volunteer Committee, volunteered for several PA functions and contributed in many ways to the PA Board administratively this year. Mrs. Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College and brings with it skills in communications, marketing, procedural development and event planning used in her position as a Business Manager at Canon, Inc.

Working with her will be the newly elected Secretary, Ms. Kristina Nozart and the returning Treasurer, Mrs. Michelle Charles-Rodney.

Following the elections, the 2016-17 PA President Marissa Danzy expressed her gratitude saying, "I am thankful for the opportunity to have served as the CPCS Parent Association President this school year. I have gotten to know so many lovely parents, scholars and staff in this role and look to continue those relationships. A special thanks to the Family Engagement Director, Mrs. Anglin, for all of her vital support this year.

Thanks to Mrs. Janisa Vaughn who was an asset, resource and supporter to the PA this year, whose professionalism and resourcefulness I admire, and congratulations to her on her new role in parent engagement at CCMS. They are lucky to have her!

Lastly, thank you to Mrs. Lana Small, the Parent Representative to the Board for jumping right into her duties mid-year and being truly diplomatic in extending her voice for parents."

We encourage all parents to consider being a part of the Parent Association for the 2017-18 Academic year. No contribution is too small, and the scholars need YOU to make this coming year a success.
